The US lines up its chess pieces to trigger the demise of the Bolivarian Revolution and achieve regional dominance.

Since the violation of Ecuador’s sovereignty by the Colombian military, relations between Venezuela and Colombia have been fraught to say the least. The “magical laptops” allegedly captured by Colombian forces have become a fountain of highly debatable intelligence information - all aimed at proving that Venezuela and President Chavez are somehow in cahoots with the FARC – and by extension will “prove” that the Venezuelan state is in fact a “sponsor of terrorism”. Interpol is due to report on the contents and findings in the laptops this Thursday, May 15th.

Resurrecting the US IV Fleet

While the laptop saga was developing it was announced that the defunct US IV Fleet will be reactivated after July 1st with the aim of, “employing naval forces to build confidence and trust among nations through collective maritime security efforts that focus on common threats and mutual interests”, according to Admiral Gary Roughead speaking from the Pentagon.

Despite Roughead’s attempt to describe the role of the IV Fleet as being somehow beneficial to the region, President Chavez sees it as outright intimidation as the US tries to shore up its declining influence in the Caribbean and South America. Remember that the IV Fleet was finally disbanded in 1950 after WWII as there were no threats in the region to US hegemony.

Manta military base to Colombo-Venezuelan border?

Upon assuming the Presidency of Ecuador in 2007, Rafael Correa stated that the US military base at Manta would not have its lease extended when it expires in 2009. The Manta base was established in Ecuador in 1998 under then president Jamil Mahuad.

The Manta base has been the subject of some controversy in recent weeks when suspicions pointed to the fact that the attack on the FARC camp on Ecuadorian territory was actually launched from Manta using US “smart bombs”. The attack was in collusion with the Colombian military whose Commander-in-Chief is President Álvaro Uribe.

Now we have the declarations of ex US Ambassador to Caracas, William Brownfield to consider. He was transferred to Bogotá from Caracas after failing to rally the Venezuelan opposition. Upon being asked about the Manta military base in Ecuador, which will be uprooted next year, Brownfield indicated that the base could be relocated on Colombian territory in La Guajira – on the Colombo-Venezuelan border. (See map below with La Guajira outlined in red)

Note that La Guajira borders with Venezuela’s resource-rich Zulia state where the old oligarchs have had a long history of trying to secede from Venezuela itself. After huge oil reserves were discovered in Zulia early last century, the US has always had a strong interest in this region of Venezuela. This goes all the way back to just before WWI.

At this point let’s review the geopolitical chessboard. Here are the pieces:

US IV Fleet in the Caribbean after July 1st

Secessionist rumblings in Zulia. State governor Manuel Rosales is a fierce opponent of President Chavez. He ran against President Chávez in the last presidential elections in 2006 and lost by a wide margin.

Current hostile relationship between Colombia and Venezuela. President Álvaro Uribe of Colombia is Washington’s main ally in the region.

US base to be established in La Guajira if we are to believe Ambassador Brownfield.

The “laptops” will officially spill their secrets on Thursday May 15th and will no doubt be used to accuse Venezuela of “sponsoring terrorism”.

Vast oil reserves and infrastructure to exploit them already set up in Zulia, which borders Colombia.

World energy crisis looming with oil currently over US$120/barrel

The US wants to destroy or at least weaken the Bolivarian Revolution as it spreads throughout the region, undermining US traditional influence in the "back yard".

The main objective is to oust President Chavez.
There you have it. Washington’s plans and objectives all ready to be put into action, with outright aggression impossible to rule out. The US IV Fleet and the establishment of a US military base in La Guajira are obvious taunts or to be more precise “saber rattling” against Venezuela.

We do not see US troops being involved but rather gradual proxy diplomatic tensions being built up by the Uribe regime. The objective will be to spark possible skirmishes in border regions such as in Táchira, Zulia and Apure which have been infiltrated by Colombian paramilitaries.

Venezuela signs oil deals with Portugal, Ecuador and China: Portugal pays with Pasta!! (Banks? we don't need no stinken bank!)

Mérida, May 15, 2008 (venezuelanalyiss.com)-- Over the past week, the Venezuelan government and its state oil company PDVSA signed agreements with Portugal, Ecuador, and China to jointly produce, refine, and market petroleum from Venezuela’s Orinoco Oil Belt. Planned projects will cost tens of billions of dollars and span over the next decade. Venezuela and Portugal also signed agreements to, in the words of Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, “exchange petroleum for spaghetti,” and explore potential liquid gas and wind power projects in Venezuela.

After a private meeting with Portuguese Prime Minister José Sócrates Carvalho Pinto de Sousa on Tuesday, Chávez said improved bilateral relations between the two countries shall “correspond to the profound brotherhood between our peoples,” and “will permit us to begin weaving a net of just and necessary relations between both nations.”

PDVSA and the Portuguese oil company PETROGAL concretized plans to explore and exploit the 257-square kilometer Block 6 of the Orinoco reserve with an estimated yield of 86,000 barrels per day (BPD) to be sent to Portuguese refineries.

The two companies intend to form a mixed enterprise, which by law must be 60% Venezuelan-owned. It will also explore liquid gas in Venezuela’s Sucre state and create a pilot project for wind power.

In addition, Portugal will now import 10,000 BPD of Venezuelan crude oil and will aim to import 30,000 BPD by the end of this year, with an eventual goal of 96,000 BPD, which would satisfy nearly a third of Portugal’s national demand.

The oil will be paid for in the form of food, goods, and services. Specifically, the PDVSA affiliate Bariven signed accords with the Portuguese food companies Cerealis and Sovena to import 5,000 tons of powdered milk, 21,000 tons of pasta, and 21,000 tons of soybean oil, items found in shortage and with inflated prices in Venezuela and worldwide. Also, Portuguese firms will repair Venezuelan oil ships, renovate the Venezuelan La Guaira port, and the two countries will cooperate to promote mutual tourism.

“We continue with our task of diversifying the actors, the business partners of our national petroleum industry as well as the destination countries for our petroleum production,” said PDVSA President and Venezuelan Oil and Energy Minister Rafael Ramírez after visiting the Orinoco River Belt with the prime minister.

Sócrates, who commenced his visit by paying homage to Latin American Liberator Simón Bolívar at his burial place in Caracas, said, “We are two countries in friendship, two countries with fragile bilateral relations and there is no reason not to seek the benefit of Portugal and Venezuela.”

Venezuela’s energy accords also forged links in the Pacific this week. Monday, Ecuador’s state oil company PETROECUADOR confirmed that this month it will establish a mixed enterprise with PDVSA to construct a $6.5 billion refinery and a possible $5 billion petrochemical plant near the Port of Manta, southwest of the capital Quito.

PETROECUADOR will control 51% of the joint project. The two companies plan to finance 30% of the construction, which is scheduled to begin in early July and last five years, while they solicit international financing for the remaining 70%. It is estimated that the refinery, called Pacific Refinery – CEM, will process 300,000 BPD.

According to the Ecuadorian Ambassador to Venezuela René Vargas Paz, the town of El Aromo outside the Port of Manta was chosen as the site for the refinery because it “will permit that the product be commercialized in Asian countries such as China and Japan”. This will be “of grand importance to the two countries and Latin American unity,” he emphasized.

Members of the El Aromo community, however, claim they were not consulted about the refinery and that the impact it will have on the 5,000 inhabitants remains unclear. They also say the refinery threatens the nearby 4,000 hectare (9,880 acre) Pacoche forest reserve, on which they depend for clean water and materials for local industry.

“The sad thing is that the technicians who chose the site appear not to have known that the zone is the only lung and water source that [the Port of] Manta has” said Tito Erazo, the director of Environmental Studies at the Eloy Alfaro de Manabí University. Last weekend, Greenpeace activists and University professors arrived at the Pacoche to gather petition signatures and plan strategies for protecting the forest and the community of El Aromo.

Two days prior to PETROECUADOR`s announcement, the Chinese Vice Prime Minister, Hui Liangyu, finished a week-long visit to Venezuela during which the Chinese petroleum company CNPC concretized plans with PDVSA to exploit a 678 square kilometer block of the Orinoco reserve through a mixed enterprise called Sinovensa, in which Venezuela controls the 60% majority share.

Sinovensa will also build a refinery in the Guandong province of China with the capacity to process up to 400,000 BPD of crude, according to President Chávez. The entire project is estimated to cost $12 billion, and could include the manufacture of cargo ships to facilitate the 45-day journey of Venezuelan crude across the Pacific.

About his visit, Hui commented that “it has been wholly a success for the development and cooperation between Venezuela and China” which “have initiated a new era as friends and cooperative business partners on the basis of equality and reciprocal benefit.”

The two countries also signed an agreement to cooperate to reduce poverty and mutually promote agricultural production, and formed a joint investment fund to help finance their projects, starting with a loan from the Chinese Development Bank to Venezuela’s National Economic and Social Development Bank (BANDES).

Venezuela currently sells a more than a third of the 3 million BPD it produces to the United States. In addition to Portugal, Ecuador, and China, it has signed accords with companies from Russia, Norway, France, India, Argentina, Spain, Britain, Cuba, Belarus, Uruguay, Vietnam, Malaysia, Chile, and Brazil for the exploitation and refining of the Orinoco oil reserves, which are estimated to be the world’s largest.

Despite protests from the United States and other oil importing countries, Ramírez steadfastly holds that “there is no reason to modify the volume of production” of oil, because there is plenty of supply on the market, which has been expanded by rising demand from China and India, he says. Meanwhile, world oil prices surpassed a record $126 per barrel earlier this week.

SYNTHETIC BIOLOGICAL AGENTS

There are two things about the biological agent field I would like to mention. One is the possibility of technological surprise. Molecular biology is a field that is advancing very rapidly and eminent biologists believe that within a period of 5 to 10 years it would be possible to produce a synthetic biological agent, an agent that does not naturally exist and for which no natural immunity could have been acquired.

MR. SIKES. Are we doing any work in that field?
DR. MACARTHUR. We are not.
MR. SIKES. Why not? Lack of money or lack of interest?
DR. MACARTHUR. Certainly not lack of interest.
MR. SIKES. Would you provide for our records information on what would be required, what the advantages of such a program would be, the time and the cost involved?
DR. MACARTHUR. We will be very happy to.

The dramatic progress being made in the field of molecular biology led us to investigate the relevance of this field of science to biological warfare. A small group of experts considered this matter and provided the following observations.

1. All biological agents up the the present time are representatives of naturally occurring disease, and are thus known by scientists throughout the world. They are easily available to qualified scientists for research, either for offensive or defensive purposes.

2. Within the next 5 to 10 years, it would probably be possible to make a new infective microorganism which could differ in certain important aspects from any known disease-causing organisms. Most important of these is that it might be refractory to the immunological and therapeutic processes upon which we depend to maintain our relative freedom from infectious disease.

3. A research program to explore the feasibility of this could be completed in approximately 5 years at a total cost of $10 million.

4. It would be very difficult to establish such a program. Molecular biology is a relatively new science. There are not many highly competent scientists in the field. Almost all are in university laboratories, and they are generally adequately supported from sources other than DOD. However, it was considered possible to initiate an adequate program through the National Academy of Sciences - National Research Council (NAS-NRC).

The matter was discussed with the NAS-NRC, and tentative plans were plans were made to initiate the program. However decreasing funds in CB, growing criticism of the CB program, and our reluctance to involve the NAS-NRC in such a controversial endeavor have led us to postpone it for the past 2 years.

It is a highly controversial issue and there are many who believe such research should not be undertaken lest it lead to yet another method of massive killing of large populations. On the other hand, without the sure scientific knowledge that such a weapon is possible, and an understanding of the ways it could be done, there is little that can be done to devise defensive measures. Should an enemy develop it, there is little doubt that this is an important area of potential military technological inferiority in which there is no adequate research program.

Google is a Public US company, and is in the main financed by US Pension Plans. It has an obligation to it's stockholders to run the business in an effective, competent and appropriate manner.

Therefore the following question begs to be asked; " Does the establishing of a $50 million dollar research centre in Tel Aviv, paying extravagant salaries to Israeli workers, when such an operation could have been located in Bangladesh for example, at a fraction of the cost, fall within the remit of conducting business in an effective, competent and appropriate manner? "

In this sudden rush to Israel, Google is in good (depending on how you see the world) company. IBM, Sun Systems, Microsoft, Intel and others have all chosen Israel as a location in which to set up operations. Financially, this just does not make any sense. Furthermore, why is a country made up overwhelmingly of Russian immigrants, with an average IQ of 90 such an attractive destination for these corporate giants ?

Tel Aviv is the tenth most expensive city in the world and as previously stated, salaries are high, and IQ levels not so much so, whereas Bangladesh can offer qualified hi tech workers at 1/5 of the price. It must be something of a `bitter pill` for Americans to consider that a US pension is paying some Israeli's $150,000 a year salary, when if work must be `outsourced` the money could be more wisely spent elsewhere.

An additional abuse of the US by Israeli's is how American Universities such as Harvard are being frequented by students from Israel, who take student loans, then after graduation, disappear back to their `homeland` never repaying the loan, again it is the US taxpayer who picks up the bill.

It is no secret that Google's founders, Larry Page and Russian born Sergey Brin are `very` interested in the Zionist State, and have known ties there. It should also be of interest to note that these two `entrepreneurs` were financed by Andy Bechtolsheim, the Co Founder of Sun Microsystems. All three are Jewish, and all three now have operation centres in Israel.

Tel Aviv is internationally recognised not only as one of the world's `Prostitution Capitals`, but also a centre for white slave trading in Russian Children. Additionally, it is a major player in drugs trafficking acting as a Trans-Shipment point for Heroin and Ecstasy.

So, to summarise, our Autoworker in Detroit has his pension invested for him in Google, which funds a massive internet monitoring operation in Israel, paying huge salaries and building up the infrastructure in that country. His taxes pay for Israeli students to study at Harvard, while he struggle's to pay his bills and his children attend Community College.

But there's so much more to this than meets the eye. Is it a coincidence that both of Google's founders are married to women who work in the Biotech field. Sergy Brin's wife, Anne Wojkicki is one of the founders of `23 and me`, a `personal` genome website which promises to make `sense` of a customers genetic information. As one reader put it "Google + DNA Testing = the ultimate personal website". Or one could look at it another way. Why are so many of the top corporate `magnates `so interested in DNA and Genome research. Bill and Melinda Gates are very active in sponsoring research in this field as well as being very generous to a certain pharmaceutical company in Denmark producing vaccines for Africa. As they say in Nairobi and elsewhere, " When the UN Doctors come a' calling, expectant mother's begin a'running ".

This year, a US-UK led International Consortium announced the `1000 Genomes` Project, with the aim of producing the most detailed map of human genetic variation to date. Major support will be supplied by the `Wellcome Trust Sanger` Institute in the UK, China's Genomic's Institute, and the US Genome Research Institute. For anyone with half an interest in recent human history, the name `Sanger` should set the alarm bells `a ringing`. American Margaret Sanger was before WWII, the `High Priestess` of the Eugenics movement. She once said, " The most merciful thing a large family can do to one of it's infants is kill it". She was highly instrumental in the setting up of `family planning` and was an outspoken advocate of selective birth and the genetic profiling and physiological `means testing` of prospective parents along with mandatory sterilisation for those considered unfit to procreate.

What we are seeing here is the coming together of Big Business, IT, and Biotech Research. Names like Gates, Page and Brin together with their Biotech Researching wives, with a dash of Margaret Sanger's legacy thrown in.

A vast control grid is being erected around the Globe for a given purpose. That purpose is the domination and control of planet earth and all who are allowed to `sail` on her. We can see this growing daily before our eyes. It is multi tasking on a grand scale. The endgame is a depopulated planet of around 1 billion. The majority, economic slaves to an elite group of `carefully selected` supermen and women, the `Pages, Brins, Gates` and their Illuminati/ Bildeberger fellow travellers no doubt.

The concentration of resources being injected into biotech and genome research, combined with the many faceted depopulation methods which have and are being used across the globe to reduce fertility, induce sterility, cause miscarriages in the third world and encourage contraception and abortion in the so called `developed world` leads almost inevitably to the creation of a world where only the few `blessed` genetically superior beings live out their artificially prolonged lives in abject luxury where the rest exist in dispair.

We are now looking into the abyss, when in the very near future, such a world could very likely become a reality. It is far more likely that Google + DNA = BIG Brother.

Genome research need urgent public discussion. We must not allow the self appointed super rich elite to take control of the human gene. In the wrong hands, and misused, it would be the most terrible of all the weapons of mass destruction mankind has created to inflict upon itself.

Lastly, perhaps our intrepid heroes, Page and Brin, and their fellows are locating to their `promised land` in good time. Will Jerusalem become the Capital of their New World Order, with it's World Government, Army, Bank and microchipped population of worker slaves ?

You are more likely a person who likes to boast to others that you have Jeff Rense's phone number, his webmaster's phone number, my phone number, my son's cell phone number, and my 72-year-old Jewish editor's phone number, and that you have harassed and terrorized all of us with your anonymous phone calls. You have done this because we have dared to criticize and cast a light upon Zionist military atrocities as well as the universal Zionist disregard for others' human rights.

Did you really think that your vulgarity and the meaningless "anti-Semite" name calling would actually make us all stop speaking out in protest over what you Zionists are doing to others? Barack Obama’s outspoken pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., defended his statements accusing the U.S. government of deliberately engineering the AIDS virus as a means of genocide during a National Press Club appearance yesterday by citing the documented history of the U.S. government’s involvement in biological warfare operations against innocent people.

Asked if he stood behind previous statements about the U.S. government deliberately creating AIDS as a means of genocide against black people, Wright responded, ""Have you read Horowitz’ book - Emerging Viruses - AIDS and Ebola?"

"Have you read Medical Apartheid," continues Wright as he is heckled from the floor.
But when Wright starts to list documented examples of how the U.S. government had been complicit in biological warfare operations against innocent people, the reaction was noticeably mute.

"Based on the Tuskegee experiment and based on what has happened to Africans in this country, I believe our government is capable of doing anything," Wright continued.
"In fact one of the responses to what Saddam Hussein had in terms of biological warfare was a non-question because all we had to do was check the sales record - we sold him those biological weapons that he was using against his own people, so any time a government can put together biological warfare to kill people and then get angry when those people use what we sold them, yes I believe we are capable," Wright concluded.

The Tuskegee experiment was a 40-year program run by the U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) between 1932 and 1972 that studied the effects of syphilis on 399 poor black sharecroppers from Alabama.

The men were simply told that they had "bad blood," were never told what disease they were suffering from or of its seriousness, and were promised free health care and other benefits if they cooperated.

The men were left to suffer as the ravages of the disease took hold and were prevented from obtaining any kind of remedy that would alleviate their pain. “As I see it,” one of the doctors involved explained, “we have no further interest in these patients until they die.”

Most of the men hoodwinked into taking part in the experiment died directly of syphilis or related complications and their wives and children were also infected.
President Bill Clinton had to publicly apologize for the Tuskegee outrage in May 1997 and he was forced to acknowledge that the program was a racist eugenics-based horror that had no scientific merit whatsoever.

As researchers shunned by the media, people like Dr. Len Horowitz and Boyd Ed Graves, have asserted, evidence to suggest that the U.S. military-industrial complex artificially engineered the AIDS virus as a means of population control is compelling.

Graves’ 1971 Special ‘HIV’ Virus Flow Chart (see it here) "provides absolute evidence of the United States’ intent to kill its own citizens and others," according to Graves.

The flowchart coordinates over 20,000 scientific papers and fifteen years of progress reports of a secret federal virus development program which dovetails almost perfectly with the spread of AIDS from 1971 onwards.

As Jerry Mazza writes, "On July 29, 1969, only days after the Department of Defense (DOD) asked for $10 million from Congress to fund the development of a “synthetic biological agent, an agent that does not naturally exist and for which no natural immunity could have been acquired . . ." on that day, the chairman of the Republican Task Force on Earth Resources and Population, the Honorable George H. W. Bush, U.S. Representative from Texas, 7th District (1967–71), stressed the pressing need for population control activities to fend off “a growing Third World crisis.”

In the following passage taken from the Dept. of Defense request for Appropriation for 1970, HB 15090, the Pentagon’s Dr. MacArthur tells Robert L.F. Sikes of the need for a “synthetic biological agent”.

There are two things about the biological agent field I would like to mention. One is the possibility of technological surprise. Molecular biology is a field that is advancing very rapidly and eminent biologists believe that within a period of 5 to 10 years it would be possible to produce a synthetic biological agent, an agent that does not naturally exist and for which no natural immunity could have been acquired.

Mr. Sikes. Are we doing any work in that field?
Dr. MacArthur. We are not.
Mr. Sikes.. Why not? Lack of money or lack of interest?
Dr. MacArthur. Certainly not lack of interest.
Mr. Sikes. Would you provide for our records information on what would be required, what the advantages of such a program would be. the time and the cost involved?

Since Wright’s comments about AIDS and U.S. government complicity in 9/11 were picked up on by the media as an excuse to smear Obama, the Democratic presidential candidate has distanced himself from the pastor.

"Some of the comments that Rev. Wright has made offend me, and I understand why they offend the American people," Obama told reporters yesterday. "They don’t represent my views and they don’t represent what this campaign’s about, but he’s obviously free to make those statements."

Australia: Jewish controlled government blocks Palestinian Exhibit in Sidney

With its ceramics classes and preschool storytime sessions, Leichhardt library - like most suburban libraries - is usually a pretty calm place.

But the "fear of god'' was reportedly put into its librarian when counter terrorism officers paid a visit to speak about an upcoming exhibition called "Al-Nakba", which means "catastrophe".

"Al-Nakba", a pictorial exhibition about Palestine and Israel, should have opened at Leichhardt municipal library last Friday.

But after the police visit on Thursday night, it was suddenly cancelled the next morning.

Friends of Hebron, a local activitist group, had been working on the exhibition of photos, poems and articles for eight months after the library agreed to host it last year.

"We set up the exhibition at the library on Thursday night and the librarian ... approved the exhibition, and said that it could be seen by children and other people,'' said Carole Lawson, a Friends of Hebron member.

Felt threatened

"But then that night, the [police] anti-terrorism squad visited the library and told her she had to vet the exhibition.

"They wanted to put the fear of god into the library staff and want the staff to feel threatened.''

On Friday morning, Ms Lawson said she received a call to tell her the exhibition had been pulled down.

"It's the censorship of Palestine - apparently the anti-terrorism squad decides what we can see on the public walls of a library.''

The librarian, Marilyn Taylor, would not speak to smh.com.au.

Leichhardt mayor Carolyn Allen confirmed police had visited the library on Thursday night, but said council, not police, had decided to pull down the exhibition because it hadn't met the council's criteria for such projects, which include not being divisive.

Counter Terrorism police just saying 'Hi!'

A police media spokesman said the officers were from the community contact unit, which falls within its Counter Terrorism operations. They had not visited the the library to to tell it to cancel the exhibition, but only to "say hi'' to Friends of Hebron members, he said.

"They went to introduce themselves to members of the community setting up the display and just to let them know who they are and what they are about. [Speaking with community groups] is part of their charter.

"When they got there the librarian was the only one there ... they just had a quick chat to the librarian.''

There had only been "a couple'' of officers involved, the spokesman said. He could not say what they said to her.

Cr Allen said the council pulled the exhibition down the morning after police visited because it had not had a chance to properly vet it.

Vetting exhibitions

Last year, council decided all projects - like the Al-Nakba exhibition - would first need to be assessed by a panel of councillors to ensure they were not divisive, she said.

This had not been done with Al-Nakba, and she blamed the late realisation of this on "a breakdown of managerial process''.

"I think it's regrettable that [the library] didn't talk about it earlier.

"I accept people might view it as [censorship] but ... I'm just implementing our policy that any exhibition that has our councils name on it needed to go through this process of making sure its not being divisive.

She said the visit by police had not influenced the decision.

"I suppose the librarian may have been a bit alarmed and concerned they had the anti-terrorism squad. I thought it was quite funny that the anti-terrorism squad would come [to a local library] - I found that a bit alarmist at the time.

Nothing disturbing

Ms Lawson said there was nothing alarming or disturbing about the exhibition, and that it merely raised the plight of "Palestinian refugees'' living in Hebron, about 30 kilometres south of Jerusalem.

"The exhibition was taken down because it was about Palestine, the dispossession of Palestinians and what's going on in Hebron," she said.

But Cr Allen said: "The people doing this exhibition clearly knew it wasn't in the general understanding of our agreement."

She objected to some captions, including one that said Palestinian children going to school needed protection from children from Israel who where throwing stones.

"Being in a public library is different to being in an exhibition space. If you're in an exhibition space and someone knows they are going into the exhibition, they expect to be educated and confronted. But most people going into a library just want to return books."
